Favorite Game Story Line? Nostalgia glasses on or off.

What's you guys favorite game story line? Not just the games themselves but the actual story line. Any console generation, doesn't matter. I'm a little bias because I didn't start gaming until around Gamecube/Ps2/Xbox era so I don't know a lot about games before then.

Nostalgia glasses on would be Kingdom Hearts series, KH2 being my favorite game of all time, even though I probably couldn't explain it very well to anyone.

Nostalgia glasses off I would have to say either FF9, (an epic adventure, I mean come on, what more could you ask for?) or Chrono Trigger, (do I need to explain?) because I played them recently and can recall most of it without looking through rose tinted glasses.
