Rumour: Super-thin iPad mini

New details on an old rumour from Macotakara put the mini iPad on a diet. I guess it makes sense - the new iPad only got a little thicker, while nearly doubling battery capacity. The smaller iPad wouldn't need the increased battery capacity because it doesn't have the retina display which requires extra backlighting. And it would presumably have the more efficient 32nm A5 from the iPad 2 update.

It seems a small thing, but before I got my iPhone 4S, I used to spend a lot of time with my 4th gen iPod touch, and I miss it's miraculously thin body (poor thing has been demoted to alarm clock duties). A 7.85" tablet with those dimensions - around 7mm thick - would be something special.

This tablet seems to have 3G model, but not all current carrier might sale, some career name are not seen in list of resellers.

This source, who seems to look a prototype, told that new tablet (iPad mini?) had same hight withNexus 7 and slight larger width. Even though front projection size is larger than rivals, thickness of that new tablet is considered to be thinner than current most thinnest tablet Kindle Fire, and to be similar with iPod touch (4th generation) by this source.
