A few notes from a new Galaxy Nexus user.

So, as you saw in my other thread I broke my GN. My new one will be here tomorrow and I've only had the device for a week. In that week I never got to a point where I thought, yeah, this is my phone, we are all set up and customized etc. I was still feeling it out. Well tomorrow will be spent achieving that feeling. So I had a few questions for you guys if you don't mind.

Yes, I had a problem with the display. I could see the lines etc and it drove me crazy. However I've now turned off the autobrightness and the screen looks amazing. I can really see the HD part of it in the app icons. So my question to you is, this is no doubt going to take a hit on battery life so What do you guys mostly do to ensure you battery life is optimal? (I'm using a Verizon LTE device)

Next, I never really felt like I had all the apps I usually use on it. I had 5 pages on my iPhone 4S. What are some app reccomendtions you may have for a new user? I would love some that show that android devs can design beautiful UI in their apps. (Instagram's playschool take isn't my favorite)

This is an odd thread no doubt and not one that is very formal. Just a few notes and questions that I had to get out of the way. I'm working on my making my Android comeback (I used Android mostly before the iPhone 4) Also I've been using google + a lot because people seem to actually comment and conversate there. You can find me here, I'll be sure to add you back.
