Sony Vaio: Best Windows OEM/Apple's Idea Bank

It's time we recognize Sony as the most profilic Windows OEM and where's Apple goes for guidance when doing things for their Computers.

Sony might not be the same company that it used to be, but that doesnt stop their innovation. When you buy a quality Sony VAIO computer (Not Talking about the cheap $500 crap they also make), you will be getting something that is going to spawn ideas in other Companies. I've owned 4 VAIOS in my life and not one has failed on me and I've had features not found in other laptops for years to come. So here's a history of some of the things I'm talking about.

1997

Laptops were all the same color, Sony made them cool in a different color, others followed suit.

1998

Sony adds a webcam to their Mini Laptop, It takes others more than 5 years to do the same.

2003

Sony comes out with their Super Thin laptop. Not only did everybody copy the Wedge design, low weight, but also the chiclet keyboard also.

2008 and 2009

The Vaio Z is the first to use SSDs, SSDs in Raid 0, 1080p Screen on a 13 inch, way ahead of anything out. They should get the credit for having a High PPI screen in 2008, but they dont.

In the End, Sony comes out with things ahead of its time and rarely gets any credit, considering that people think Sony copied Apple's chiclet keyboard, when it the other way around.

I know that Sony makes cheap VAIOs and I agree, they are crap, but a high priced VAIO is still high quality.
