Could I get into CES

CES registration just opened, so let the storm of trade show related forum posts begin.

I'm considering going to CES this year. First of all, what do y'all think? Is it worth it? I'm a poor student, so it would be kinda expensive for me, but it seems like it would be educational, plus meeting people and networking is important. And it would be fun.

Also, I'm aware of the requirement that you have to "work in the industry" to go to CES. I don't work for a tech company, but I am a web designer, with a business card and everything, and I have a tech blog. Plus I'm a CS major. Would that be sufficient? As far as I can see, you have to show proof that you're in the industry at the door(figuratively) not before hand. It would be very lame to drive/fly all the way to Vegas from NorCal and then not be able to get in.

Thanks!
