If Samsung loses to Apple then Android will get better designs

Motorola made the right decision when they started to let their own designers make some imaginative designs. The new designs that Moto has been coming up with are really differentiated from iPhones and it has served them well. I think most readers of this site will agree that Samsung is not going to win any design awards with their S3 flagship. In fact, Samsung also revealed that their best selling phone in the US isn't even a Galaxy S phone.
If the Android OEMs were forced to be more cautious of Apple trade dress then I think the Android ecosystem would benefit in more unique and thoughtful designs.
