Samsung vs Apple: WP8
Let's discuss how this sad war of Apple and Samsung will affect WP8 and perhaps W8.
If apple gets their way (which it looks like they will unless Samsung comes with a hail mary next week), the increase cost of android will push samsung to go ahead with their Tizen plan early as possible, which will weaken Android momentum, giving WP a window of oppurtunity to establish its base stronger before Samsung starts pushing Tizen. Also in the time before the release Tizen, they could focus on some good quality WP8 handsets and push better advertising. Samsung advertising plus the advertising from Nokia, Microsoft (don't forget Windows 8 will give people brand recognition), At&t, Verizon, and hopefully T-mobile (Sprint is currently stuck in the 20 billion dollar hole they sold their souls into). I mean the Lumia 900 was number 2 on At&t for al this time, imagine the next gen Lumia being number 2 on all major networks, it could even be number 1 on T-mobile. Hopefully we get some good phones on MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, and other carriers, I'm sure they're tired of the only being able to offer bargain bin Androids and tired BBs.
So if in conclusion, when samsung realizes their best bet is too move away from android and go straight to tizen, the time period of the transition is the perfect stepping ladder for WP8 to climb the market share ladder faster.
