Demonoid torrent tracker puts its domains up for sale
Earlier this month popular BitTorrent tracker Demonoid was shut down, and now three of its domains are up for sale, reports TorrentFreak. The service went offline after Ukrainian law enforcement reportedly investigated hosting company ColoCall, before forcing the company to end its agreement with Demonoid and shut down its servers. The site is currently still offline. Now, three Demonoid domains — .me, .com, and .ph — are all currently available to purchase on domain marketplace Sedo. While it was previously believed that Demonoid could be restored thanks to rumored backup servers, this latest news makes it sound like one of the most popular public trackers may be gone for good.
