Daring Fireball 10 year anniversary
John Gruber Daring Fireball site has been around for 10 years yesterday. Pretty, cool accomplishment, he's made his self operated site one of the more popular tech sites on the web even today. A great model that you can make your career as a writer without being attached to a major publication or backers. He also has a fantastic writing style and tone that I wish I could use in my everyday writing.
I've only been reading him for about 2 years now, the first time I really started checking for him was when I read this Engadget post http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/08/apples-iphone-lockdown-apps-must-be-written-in-one-of-three-la/ when it was reported that rather than write a response to an email directly, Steve Jobs forwarded a daring fireball post about why Apple would block non-native compilers such as Adobe's iPhone compiler. I started checking his site after that and it has been pretty fun ride checking out his site since.
Congrats John.
