Android 4.1 for the Galaxy S III reportedly only two weeks away
Just last week, SamMobile reported that Android 4.1 for the Samsung Galaxy S III would soon be on its way. Today, the site posted the first pre-release version of the software, and says that the official update will be available via KIES and over-the-air at the end of this month and the beginning of next. SamMobile reports that the I9300XXDLG4 test build contains new features like "Dormant mode" and the ability to use your palm to take a screenshot. As always, installing an unofficial version of the software will void your warranty, and SamMobile says that they encountered issues like the microSD card reformatting and not being to install some apps. The official release may be just around the corner, but if you can't wait another couple weeks and like to live dangerously, head over to SamMobile for directions on installing the test build.
