1366x768 and Windows RT
Microsoft has stated that 1366x768 is the minimum required resolution for Windows RT tablets.
However I noticed that thus far no Windows RT tablet announced exceeds that resolution... Why is that?
I suspect that for the first round of tablets 1366x768 is actually a limit imposed by Microsoft so that Metro apps maintain a certain level of performance....
Perhaps to get the best performance out of S4 or Tegra 3 Microsoft is requiring everyone stay at 1366x768 until the next round of ARM chips come out.
Or are OEMs simply sticking with 1366x768 so they can create thin tablets and maintain long battery life? In other words are OEMS simply playing it safe or is Microsoft pushing the minimum as the standard until the next round of ARM chips come out?
