The Verge staff are really getting behind Windows 8 lately

Not surprising, since following the initial alienation and less than stellar feedback they have actually now been using it for some time and have come to know what its truly about and how it feels and disjointed is certainly not one of those words. It's live, dynamic and flexible and most importantly without compromise is what I would call it.

But we are now seeing a strong and clear message from The Verge with headline such as:

Windows 8: Hands on with your next OS

This is my next: Windows 8

Tim Cook is seriously going to eat lots of crow for his "You wouldn't combine a fridge and toaster comment", similarly to how Ballmer is being laughed at for his iPhone comment back in 2007.
