A request to Josh.
So here it is, I basically value Josh´s and the team´s opinion on technology and products so I have a small request to make. I thought it would be best to post it here to see if anybody thinks it would be cool.
Josh, as one of the few people on the planet who has actually put on a set of Google Glass glasses (albeit briefly) I would love to here more form your experience with them. Back when Google I/O was going on I think I remember you saying you would write a piece with your thoughts on them. I am writing this not to criticize you on this, but to actually ask you not to do it. I would love to hear your opinion on them outside of the limelight of the Verge´s frontpage, if you feel more comfortable doing so, as you would be "on record" which is tough spot to be in having had barely any time with them and having used an unfinished developer product. I would like to see your thoughts on this thread or a post of your own.
Some of the questions I would love answered are:
-Are they heavy?Do they feel as if they tilt to one side?
-Does the image superimpose over what your seeing at all? Or is it more like looking at your rear view mirror in a car?
- What is the image quality? How transparent is it? What are the colors like? Does it seem high definition?
-How does the (unfinished) product feel? Is there a quality to it? Or does it feel cheap?
-What kind of ports did you notice? USB? Charging port?
-Some general opinions on it. Do you think it will be a iPhone/Android succes, or is it going to be more like the BlackBerry when it first came out (first hitting business men and then becoming a consumer success)? Will it replace smartphones or complement them?
Thank you for taking the time to read this, If anybody thinks this is a good idea: Show you´re support and input!
