Best uses for my back-to-school gift card
Hey guys,
I recently purchased a rMPB through the education store which, as you probably know, came with a $100 app store gift certificate. This is my first Apple product so I'm looking for some advice on apps. I've found that a very common feature of a lot of apps that are considered to be really is that they sync well with iOS. I'm an Android developer(and software engineering student) and I'm completely happy with my Galaxy Nexus so I don't seem myself buying an iPhone anytime soon. I also can't see myself having any use for an iPad so apps that sync with iOS aren't much of a priority for me.
Anyway, so far I've purchased
- Reeder
- Fantastical
- BetterSnapTool
- Growl
so I have about 75 bucks left on my gift certificate. I also purchased Circus Ponies Notebook* from outside the app store as it was much cheaper this way.
I'm thinking about buying Pages but I feel like I'll end up doing most of my writing on in Google Docs so that I can work on it from my (windows) desktop as well. I don't know if it's worth it.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
* For the past 3 years I've done all my note taking with a windows tablet with a Wacom digitizer and Microsoft OneNote. When I got my Macbook, I figured I'd just use paper but eventually decided that I don't want to do that so I bought a Wacom Bamboo Create and Circus Ponies Notebook. Hopefully, it will work out. Not as great a solution as it was on Windows but it's probably worth it so that I don't have to deal with Windows anymore.
