Thoughts on Windows 8

About a month ago, I wrote a post on the areas that I thought Windows 8 would fail in, after just installing it. But even after a week of using it, my thoughts changed. There still isn't quite the continuity between Desktop and Metro as I would have liked (Why the hell is there both a Control Panel and a Settings menu?), and it still has a little bit of a learning curve, but overall, I find myself using it just as well or better than on Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Finding stuff on the Start Menu is just as easy as it was before, you hit the Windows button then type, or have a few of your favorite applications pinned to your Menu and click those, and while you're at it, you can go ahead and see how many new emails you have. Someone on the forums pointed out that corporations wouldn't have such a hard time incorporating themselves into the Windows 8 ecosystem, if they had the whole ecosystem to back them up, including Windows Phone. Overall I'm very satisfied with Windows 8 on my dual screen, custom gaming PC.

So tell me, why should I hate Windows 8?

No trolling, please.
