The Ultimate Merger-Would it be beneficial? Legal?

What if hypothetically Google merged with Samsung?

Think about it.

Samsung is the biggest Android OEM in both phones and tablets.

It already has a smart TV platform that's selling and has voice control and gesture control.

Samsung has the best hardware and low production costs. It has the Exynos and the Mali CPU/GPU combo.

Samsung has smart appliances for everything.

But Samsung has no software or content.

But Google has better software and an ecosystem, but it lacks a hardware ecosystem.

With Googlified versions of Kies Air and Allshare (Samsung's airplay) and other Samsung hardware, it would be possible to create an ecosystem that would dominate all parts of the house and all interconnected like Google envisions.

Google could finally break into TV.

All that great Samsung hardware would now always be a Nexus device.

No more Galaxy Nexuses with subpar cameras. It's Galaxy S3 specs with stock android.

It sounds good on paper, but would it be good in reality?

Would the anti trust authorities even allow this?
