Mann vs. Machine Polygon Playdate! Aug. 25th UPDATED*

So the much-anticipated Mann vs. Machine update for Team Fortress 2 released a few days ago, though I'm sure many of you haven't tried it yet due to the servers being almost at capacity and the long queue for matchmaking.

If you haven't been following, it's a co-op horde mode of sorts with up to 6 people, where you try to prevent the Machines (robot versions of normal classes, mostly) from planting a bomb in your base. While straightforward, it can be pretty difficult without the right people, good communication, and tactics. So that's why I've come here, to look for recruits! It is also, along with vanilla TF2, completely free to play.

We're planning an attempt at it later this evening some time. No time is set in stone, but go on the official Polygon Steam group chat room in the hours leading up and we should have a good idea of how many games we will have going simultaneously, as well as when the most people are available.

Again, each game is for up to 6 people (and really no less, you'll be strapped for classes as it is and you need the firepower), and while the waiting times have considerably reduced since release, and it's now pretty easy to get into a server through matchmaking so no server hosting is really needed.


So post here if you either

A. want to play, along with the time frame you are available, also if you have any friends that want to play

or B. would like to host a server (and of course play as well)

Be sure to include your Steam username and drop by in the group chat.
I'll update the post with the current game setups.

Also, if you don't think you're particularly good at TF2 don't let that stop you. It's why you have teammates! :D

UPDATE AUG. 25th: I was thinking we could have at it again tomorrow (Sunday the 26th) in the afternoon? 7pm EST seemed to late last time, so I'm thinking probably closer to 6pm EST, probably in full swing by 6:30. Also if anyone wants to use a squad ticket it would be a good opportunity for us to do Mann up mode, but playing just for fun is good enough for me.
