What do you want in Red Dead Redemption 2?
It was a Sunday afternoon and I was hanging out with my friend at my apartment. I was becoming bored of playing COD and I asked my friend (who really only plays COD) to pick a game off my shelf that interests him and we would play that for while. He picked up Red Dead Redemption - a game I got 100% completion in back in the summer of 2010 but haven't really played much after that. I had a save game that started us about 3-4 hours into the game, so we were past the boring cattle herding and walking around McFarlane's Ranch with that dog looking for trouble makers. I was instantly hooked again - and so was my friend who actually went out and bought the game to play at his house.
This game is simply unbelievable. I find myself not even doing missions and just wandering the countryside, looking at the scenery and hunting animals. With all that said, I began thinking how Rockstar could possibly improve upon this formula - engine and graphics upgrades aside. I really couldn't come up with much, but here are my thoughts:
1.) More stranger missions - I really like the ambiguous ones like American Appetites.
2.) More of the Hunting/Sharpshooter/other journal side quests - I'll spend more time trying to find another boar tusk than I spend playing missions.
3.) More settlements out in the world, even just small camps. The world is incredibly alive already, but this would help make it feel more alive.
I can't really think of anything that isn't just more of what is already in there.
