Acer's new Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo share an unexpected design twist
Today, Acer announced its upcoming Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo smartphones — identical, low-end twins except for the Duo's dual SIM card support. Both phones have a 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution, will run a skinned version of Android 4.0.4 on a 1GHz processor, and have a 5-megapixel camera. What really makes these phones stand out is Acer's decision to put the power button on the back of the phone near the camera, which could turn out to be either surprisingly convenient or a horrible nuisance.
The Liquid Gallant Duo will hit shelves first in September, and the Liquid Gallant will follow shortly after. Acer has not yet announced its plans for pricing and availability — beyond the fact that both phones will be available in black and white — but the new additions to Acer's Liquid line will be on display at IFA and we'll be there to bring you the latest.
