What do you think about Win8 on the desktop?
Hi everyone, a few days back, this article was on the front page of Hacker News - http://www.pcgamesn.com/article/why-i-m-uninstalling-windows-8
It was extremely critical of Win8 on the traditional desktop. This is the resulting discussion on HN - http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4414745 , alo largely critical of Win8's chances.
So these have got me thinking
This is not one of those WinRT fail posts. I just wanted to have a discussion on this specific topic of Win8 on traditional PCs. This is also not a fanboy post. So if all you've got to contribute is "LOL Fail. You suck. MS is the greatest" or some such, please don't post in this topic.
I figured that since there are a lot of people using Win8 here, and are hopeful of seeing it succeed on PCs, I would start a discussion about it here.
