Chrome for iOS update adds Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ sharing
An update to Chrome for iOS adds the ability to share pages directly to Facebook, Google+, and Twitter in addition to email. In comparison, iOS’s native Safari browser already lets you tweet a link to the page you’re viewing with Twitter, but Google+ sharing isn’t available, and Facebook integration won’t be coming until iOS 6 is released, presumably sometime around Apple’s rumored iPhone event next month.
The new Share menu (pictured below) replaces the Email item in Chrome’s drop-down menu, giving you access to all of your share locations from a single point. As you can see, Google+ somewhat conspicuously gets top billing, but we can’t fault Google for trying. The Chrome update comes a week after an update to Google+ for iOS allowed users to set all links within the app to open natively with Chrome.
