Amazon Cloud Drive has finally arrived in the UK, more than a year after launching in the US. We received reports of the launch today, and have since confirmed that the storage service is indeed available.

Pricing is basically identical to Amazon's US offerings; all users receive 5GB of free storage, with upgrade options beginning at £6 per year for 20GB, and maxing out at £320 a year for 1,000GB. Also available today is the Cloud Drive app for Mac and Windows, which allows users to manage their files directly from their desktops. It remains to be seen whether today's launch is a precursor to a bigger product announcement, but we'll likely find out more at Amazon's September 6th press event.

Thanks, James!
