Google demanded that Samsung not copy the iPad
Bloomberg did an interview with the Jury Foreman from the Samsung vs Apple case. He said that to them the Android OS did not infringe on Apple's Patents, just TouchWiz and Samsung's design. At a meeting in Korea while someone from Google was present they told Samsung that the Galaxy Tab looked to much like the iPad and that they demanded that they should change it. The Foreman said that big companies can make smart phones that don't copy Apple and he used Nokia, Blackberry and even Motorola as an example. I can see how they came to their decision but I don't totally agree with what he said about most of Samsung's phones looking like the iPhone because what makes a GS2 that much different from the design of a Motorola phone.
