20-year-old Raynaldo Rivera is being indicted by a Los Angeles grand jury for allegedly participating in the 2011 hack of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Charged with conspiracy and the unauthorized impairment of a protected computer, Rivera faces a statutory maximum of 15 years in prison, reports The Los Angeles Times.
Rivera allegedly used online nicknames "neuron," "royal," and "wildicv," and is the only suspect named in the recently-unsealed indictment, says Reuters. Cody Kretsinger was charged in September for his role in the same hack, and plead guilty to the same charges Rivera is now facing. Kretsinger is awaiting sentencing in October.
