"So, why should I get it?", I got asked everytime they saw me taking pictures with it. And it is tough to say something from scratch.
So let me get this straight: the camera is amazing — the 41-megapixel sensor makes any photo taken more vivid, sharp and defined, even in low light; no phone can get better than this today! But this is NOT the smartphone you would expect from Nokia in2012.
It lacks a current generation operating system - Symbian Belle, whose last update was last year, and it's roots are way before the launch of the iPhone in 2007. That makes uncomfortable to use; I've got network problems (despite being on one of the best operators in my country), poor performance (aside of the camera) and an empty ecosystem without most of the apps we all know and use.
You would expect from a phone with such a terrific camera, that you can get those pics to Instagram. No way. And yes, believe me, today that's a frustration.
Is the Pureview a hope for Nokia? Yes. As soon as we see this technology in the new Windows Phone Lumia lineup… and it better come sooner than later.
