Microsoft in the face of competition.
With all the stark competition from Apple and google MS definitely has it's work cut for itself this fall. In regards to the launch of WP8 I think they will lose a lot of attention around the iPhone launch HOWEVER they have HUGE opportunity to gain it back around the Windows 8 Launch (which if history is any judge will be even larger any iPhone launch) Don't know if it's fiscally possible but what if they included a WP8 device with every new PC sold during the holiday season. That would be a great way to get people into the ecosystem and once they're there MS really has a lot to offer Surface, Office 2013, xBox Music/Video, Skydrive, Outlook.Com, Skype and a whole lot more tied into the sexy Metro UI. All the pieces are there MS just needs stellar execution (no easy task I'm sure) and they have to remember something the late great Steve Jobs said; Into order for Microsoft to win, Apple doesn't have to lose.
