Why Microsoft should call his new UI Mosaic!
So here is why Microsoft should call his 'New User Interface' Mosaic:
A mosaic stands for many things the new Windows User Interface also stands for. It is unique, like every arrangement of Apps or Live-Tiles as they are called, is unique.
The plain colors of the Tiles and the Typography and Symbols on them is very simple and timeless, although very beautiful to look at. These are all things that the UI has in common with a Mosaic.
And now: Here comes the most significant thing.
A mosaic is often an art work which is composed of small components of glass uses as Window. Right. As Window ;) And a Mosaic Window is very dynamic, depending on the sunlight, which could stand for the dynamic Live-Tiles.
That would work, right?
