A few days with iPhone... ugh

So I am no fanboy, I just don't like apple products as they make synching things difficult (I use windows and linux a lot). But here I am with the iPhone 3Gs for a few days. My Sony Xperia S has gone off for it's free repair to remove the yellow tint (yep.. early batch phone :( ) and I love that phone.

So first impressions of the iPhone 3Gs since I have only had a Sony Ericssion Xperia X10 previously?

I find the phone to have a good form, pebble like. Why did they abandon this?

Good size. I think small screens are better in the 4:3 ratio while my Xperia S is good as widescreen.

What I dislike. Everything seems to take that extra second to do something. There's a built in perturbation of actions to ensure that smooth transition. But coming from Android and ICS it feels like walking through treacle.

Also you do seem to have to go through always one of two extra screens to get something done, or to find a setting.

I also dislike the general aesthetics. Fonts, colours, etc. I feels like fischer-price not some high end machine.

I really do think ICS is far superior to iOS 5, and these next few days are going to be interesting.
