While we've found that Apple plans to pull the dedicated YouTube app in the next version of iOS in favor of a forthcoming offering from Google, further inspection of the iOS 6 beta 4 changelog found on BGR and other sites reveals a rather famous YouTube link: it's Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up video, better known as a Rickroll. The changelog says:

As of iOS 6, embedded YouTube URLs in the form of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0 will no longer work. These URLs are for viewing the video on the YouTube site, not for embedding in web pages. Instead, the format that should be used is described here: https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters.

Though it's a well-worn meme for the average citizen of the internet, Apple isn't known for cracking wise as often as the Googles of the world, so we'll let it slide — and it would seem that the company couldn't let go of the dedicated YouTube app without just a little ribbing.

We'd embed the video, but you've seen it dozens (if not hundreds or thousands) of times.
