I Like 7/10 Games. Any Recommendations?

Video games are great. I like the perfect, supreme, amazing, incredible video games out there, like Halo: Combat Evolved and Marathon: Infinity as much as the next guy, but sometimes I find that I love those imperfect gems. I love the absurdly broken STALKERs of the world and the insanely ambitious Binary Domains. I even love games like Tropico 4, which seem to get low scores because they're... I have no idea, really. PC exclusive, maybe?
What are the games that try really hard, but, for whatever reason, don't quite make the cut, but are still worth playing?
