Should Nokia phase out Series 40 with Windows Phone 7 Tango+
Nokia is moving forward with its vision of connecting the next billion with their Asha line of products running series 40 Nokia OS (the most used Mobile OS in the world). But as technologies improve on a tremendous pace the line between a feature phone and a smart phone is blurring. Looking at the specs of their asha portfolio of devices they are approaching min spec requirement for windows phone 7.
When windows phone 8 arrive for the high/mid end lumia devices cant they offer windows phone 7 in low end devices targeting the developing world which will offer exceptional user experience in smartphones (in feature phone prices) phasing out series 40.
