Rocketeer vs. The Fighter: Who copied who?

If you've heard these two songs from Far East Movement and Gym Class Heroes, you'd probably have realised the similarities between their choruses. Apologies for the late realisation.

I was wondering, who copied who? And since Ryan Tedder sang both of their choruses, did he do so because the chorus was good or was is that the music industry made him recycle the chorus just to gain more money?
