Possible new iphone idea
So I was reading the article about 9 to 5 mac "confirming" the screen resolution for the new iphone and an idea comes into my head for a possible use of the new space. In current iphones there are in-app on screen buttons, they usually take up some amount of space along the top or bottom on the app because apple does not have a hardware back button or whatever happens to be needed for the interface. So my idea is what if the apps are going to run at the same 960x640 and then leave the extra space at the bottom for all these buttons and possibly notifications (or whatever else apple has up there sleves) to go on screen. This would effectively allow the same app to have more space while keeping the same resolution. Problems I could see coming out of this could be that apps may have to be completely redesigned and it might make them incompatible with previous generations of iphones but I am no developer. What do you think? Any developers out there want to tell me if what I am thinking could be reasonable?
