Desktop concept (using Office 2013 UI)
This is just a quick mock-up using the Office 2013 UI, and I'm not entirely sure why Microsoft didn't use that interface throughout the Windows 8 desktop. It seems as though they did all of the hard work designing Office but then kept a strange hybrid of the existing desktop interface, just without the aero style.
I decided to try out the UI without going over the top and inventing anything new, and this is how it came out. Let me know what you think!
