Pulse comes to Web

With the introduction of iPad a couple years ago media consumption witnessed a new terrain and up came platforms like Pulse, Flipboard and Storify..

With the power of HTML5 and CSS3, browsers now are capable of rendering robust web applications which can even make a native app envy..

Pulse certainly brings this to their advantage and precedes Flipboard's presence on desktop browsers which may give them an edge over the latter..

The company also worked closely with IE 10 developers to do some neat gestures through hardware acceleration on the much awaited Windows 8 Surface and they even credit the Redmond company for leading the browser race as far as touch gestures goes(surprising)..

They didn't stop at this, they have open sourced the Javascript which makes the tiles arrange and fill your screen. Its a great contribution to the community which promotes collaboration over competition.
