Bad News: ATIV S has a plastic back
When the Verge broke the news of the ATIV S there was comment after comment, and a lot of excitement about the phone being great quality as it appeared to be made of brushed aluminum rather than plastic.
However, WPcentral found a Youtube video of someone in Russia doing a hands on with the phone, comparing it to the Galaxy SIII. Although the body of the phone is certainly made of metal, it looks like the entire back cover is flexy plastic. :|

I know some people who don't know about this yet will be disappointed. In my mind, this reinforces that the Lumias will still be far and away the best Windows phones. I hope they get to Verizon, and if we're super lucky, Sprint as well.
Edit: Daniel Rubino of WPcentral claims in the comments that the cover is a thin layer of aluminum bonded to a plastic back, but I have no idea if and how he actually knows since he seems to be basing what he knows on this video. If anyone here on the Verge knows Russian, the article on the site that got the hands-on is here. I tried to translate the page to English but the result isn't conclusive. I'll be interested if anyone here can answer this conclusively.
