Too much emphasis on gadgets, too little on software (read: apps)
Anyone think we are way too much worried about lumia this and ativ that and accord there? Sure new hardware is very exciting and all but we are sure to get it now anyways.
I think MS needs to improve their marketplace especially for indie developers as there are tons of great indie apps (both games and productivity ones) on iOS. Android also has some but i have seen a trend where they are simply taken from the iOS appstore and moved to the play store.
Are WP users focusing on the same aspect of mobile arena like android users do? All hardware and very little emphasis on creative, inspiring, and productive apps which you are actually thrilled to use?
Think amazon for instance, when they unveiled their android based kindle tablets, they talked mostly about the content someone would use the tablets for, instead of harping on hardware for an hour.
Similarly, in many iPhone launches apple routinely showcases some really nice apps on the device and how it all turns out. It is never just "here is the new processor and that's amazing!".
I own a GS3 right now and am looking at the new lumias and the ativ S but would love it if things on the software front start getting better. I myself am thrilled to use my PC for WP8 development too. Let's hope many others are.
