Nexus 7 and Play Store credit question
I am planning on getting the N7 as a gift for my birthday. I was wondering how the Play Store credit would work and it sounds like as long as I do the setup process with my Google account I will get the credit no matter who buys it or where it's from. I've also heard some people reporting that Nexus 7s bought not from the Play Store did not get the credit. Can anybody give me an answer, preferably with a reliable source?
Edit: I found the help page for the credit and it says the credit is available for all Nexus 7s including those purchased from third party retailers. Link So now all I need to confirm is that the account used in setting up the device gets the credit and not the account that ordered from Google Play.
