Following the announcement of its new Lumia 920 and 820 Windows Phone 8 devices last week, complete with a raft of new software features, Nokia has been quick to reassure owners of existing handsets in the range that they won't be left out. According to a post on the company's Conversations blog, Windows Phone 7.5 devices such as the Lumia 900, 800, and 710 are set to receive the much-publicized Cinemagraph GIF-maker as well a new contact sharing app and Bluetooth file transfer functionality. Devices will also receive upgrades to the Smart Group Shot feature, and handsets in "selected markets" will be updated with a ringtone maker app.

The company has not revealed details on the timing or logistics of the update, but claims that the the new features will be released in phases. The post also reiterates that the popular Zynga games Words With Friends and Draw Something are destined to arrive on the platform at some point down the line, news that first emerged back in June.
