Earpods are exclusive to new products!
It would seem that the newly developed Apple Earpods are only going to be available with the newer iPod models.

Even though the iPod Classic has a more expensive price point that can support the cost it isn't included. Even if repackaging were an issue in this case (which I think it is not), why does the re-colored shuffle not include them?
Are these models part of the line up going forward? Is the classic earbud going to continue on with the newer earpods playing second fiddle?
