Is the new iphone connector going to give us more android accessories?

So Apple completely axed the old 30-pin ipod dock connector and that likely means we're about to see a massive explosion of redesigned 'made for ipod' gizmos. Do you think manufacturers will take this as a chance to start using the free Android open accessory systems alongside the new i/o or are they just going to continue ignoring us?
