Wii U titles will most commonly have a suggested retail value of $59.99, Nintendo has confirmed to Polygon.
Both Amazon and Gamestop have begun taking pre-orders for titles like New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombiU for the price of $59.99. A Nintendo representative confirmed to Polygon that $59.99 will be the most common MSRP for Wii U titles, but that's a "baseline price," adding that, "specific games could be more or less."
That price is a $10 increase from the average cost of Wii titles, which run as high as $49.99 for first-party and other major releases, and can trend even lower. The average price of an Xbox 360 or PS3 game is, of course, already $59.99.
The Wii U launches in North America on November 18th, with the 8 GB Basic model starting at $299.99, and the 32 GB Deluxe model selling for $349.99.
