As we all know, Apple's stripped down YouTube app will no longer ship with iOS 6. (Yes I am aware Google released a standalone app a few days ago).
We see time and time again, that Apple is trying to sway from Google: look at Maps for example - the move from Google Maps to Apple's own Mapping solution in iOS 6.
My only question is this:
If Apple is so focused on eliminating Google from their products as they ship (not including 3rd party apps), why do they still use YouTube to post their new TV ads, product videos and keynote events? My only thought is that if videos were on YouTube, there is a higher change that people would view the content. It seems bizarre.
