Why Apple could make the best Watch ever

Here is the outgoing iPod Nano.

Its pretty impressive engineering for an ipod at just 8.78 mm. So impressive that we started wearing it on our wrists.

And that is why its one of the most impractical nano every made. Just too damn small.

As wow posted, I am sure Apple is fixing this dilemma by splitting it into 2 separate products.A bigger iPod nano and a smaller smartwatch

Lets take the old nano and throw out

  • Onboard flash storage, maybe keep a gig for the OS and other stuff
  • 30 pin connector.
  • Clip.
  • Headphone jack. ( This is not an ipod! )
  • Volume Buttons?
..and put in
  • the new thinner integrated touch display
  • Wireless charging would be ideal, but I say lightning dock for now
  • Wifi & Bluetooth
  • Tap screen to wake
  • Bigger battery?
What you are left with is thinner ( approx 4.5 mm ) and more affordable device ( ~ $129 ) that is a natural extension of your iPhone.
