Intel has started to send invites to members of the press for a media event to showcase Intel-based tablets on September 27th. Although we thought we'd seen most of the upcoming Windows 8 tablets at IFA this year, Intel promises executive speakers from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, and ZTE. So far, ZTE hasn't announced any Windows RT or Windows 8 tablets just yet, but one of its marketing executives shared a photo of an apparent ZTE Windows 8 tablet earlier this week.

Intel's event will be held in San Francisco on September 27th, and the company is also promising additional details on its next-generation Intel Atom processor — known as Clover Trail.
