2007 MB running slow
I have a late 2007 black Macbook running on 2gb of RAM and 2.2 GHz and 160 gig hd with 24 available. Not that impressive for today, but my computer is much slower than it used to be and on average, I have 500 mb of ram going unused.
The laptop doesn't handle multi tasking well, the fans will run really loud and there's just a general sense of lag even if its not doing much. In comparison, my mom's former computer is the spring 08 model and has less RAM but it runs much smoother.
Normally, I'd reboot the whole computer like new but I'm without an external hard drive and don't wanna bother.
I intend to buy the 13" RMBP if the specs are up to par, but I'd like to enjoy the last 4-6 weeks with this computer. Anyone know why or of any fixes? Also, running Snow Leopard if that matters.
