Google Maps Not Coming to iOS Any Time Soon
ArsTechnica has just posted details from an interview with Google Chairman Eric Schmidt. Schmidt told Ars that Google had "...not done anything yet..." in regards to a mapping application for iOS 6. He reiterated that he believed Apple should have stayed with Google for its mapping service, but that Apple will ultimately do what it wants.
So far there is no indication that a Maps app has been submitted to Apple for approval. It is likely Google will hold out to see if they can draw iOS users to the Android platform before attempting to move in as a third-party service on the competitor's platform.
