Suggestion: Have options for paged/continuous formats for forums/comments?
I love reading the Verge and especially the comments and the forums. Unfortunately, when there's a lot of comments (especially image heavy comments), the continuous comments/post style makes the page very, very heavy on RAM. The GIF contest page at the moment completely unreadable for me at the moment because it slows my computer down to a crawl when all those GIFs load.
I am a bit short of RAM (only 2 gigs, will upgrade to 8 gigs soon, but I'm on a student budget), but I think there should be an option to load comments in pages (sort of like on Engadget/Disqus) or in continuous (like it is right now). Paged comments/forum posts would lead to a lot less stuff being loaded at once and would really ease the RAM usage for people with weaker computers. However, the continuous option is a lot more convenient. It should be left as a choice.
