Verizon makes the LG Intuition official, launches September 6th for $199.99
Thanks to a number of leaks, we have known for some time that the LG Intuition — a 4G LTE version of the Optimus Vu— would be coming to Verizon Wireless, and this morning the carrier has made it official. The Intuition is a virtual clone of the Optimus Vu from the outside, with a 5-inch, 4:3 aspect ration display, 8 megapixel camera, slim plastic chassis, and LG's "Rubberdium" capacitive stylus. Under the hood, the quad-core Tegra 3 processor from the Vu has been swapped out for a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chip paired with 1GB of RAM — necessary to support Verizon's 4G LTE service. The Intuition will launch will Android 4.0 with LG's Optimus 3.0 UI on board, but there is no word yet whether or not an upgrade to Android 4.1 is planned. Verizon will offer the Intuition through its online store starting on September 6th for $199.99 on-contract, with in-store availability planned for September 10th.
