Bezel friendly Lumia 920

Why does Lumia 920 have a very thick bezel at the bottom that eats into the viewable screen. It would have been a much better device if the button were at the bottom edge like the lumia 900 and 820. It could have been a 4.7 or 4.8 screen without the ugly bezel. This seems like a deal breaker for me.
